Thomas graduated Durham University with a LLB Law degree and then complete the Legal Practice Course and Masters of Science (MSc) in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law in Leeds.

Thomas is a Law Society Accredited Mental Health Panel Member and has attained Higher Rights of Audience (Civil). Thomas began his career as a specialist in mental health law and representing clients at the Mental Health Tribunal. Thomas then expanded his expertise into mental capacity law and completed his training contract in both mental health and mental capacity law.

Thomas has been representing vulnerable people and family member clients in the Court of Protection since 2020.
